First off, i predicted Slovenia would do better than expected. And meant winning their first and easiest game. They beat Algeria, late and a bit fortuitously, with that man Robert Koren.
But a win's a win and they were rarely troubled. Algeria, as expected, were terrible and headstrong.

Serbia were absolutely dire against Ghana. What happened ? They made a mockery of my claims that they might be dark horses and stand an outside chance of winning the group. Bah !
They were out of ideas, couldn't attack and made stupid decisions that killed off the game and handed it to Ghana.
Why didn't Gojko Kacar start ? Stankovic was absent and Pantelic was invisible.
Ghana weren't a lot better but they were more positive and hit the post twice. Gyan was a menace and even without Muntari and Essien, were more than a handful.
Serbia let everyone down.

Brazil are playing like a functional Germany, Germany are playing like a fluid Brazil ?
Germany absolutely annihilated Australia in the other game in Group D. Playing with flair, panache and finesse, they created chance after chance and could have easily run up the score to match their thrashing of Saudi Arabia in 2002.
Wow.
The fresh blood from their U 21 teams have bedded in excellently and Mesut Oszil and Sami Khedera played with real verve and hunger.
