Best Goals of the 2010 World Cup - Part I

So far the best goals of the World Cup:

Tshabalala v Mexico:

- Rocket outside the left side of box into the top right corner, off a through pass from Pienaar.  The World Cup is ignited and the Bafana Bafana are off !

---

Park Ji Sung v Greece:

- Steals ball from defender, runs in and finishes inside box far corner along ground. Cultured, composed, aware.  Textbook poaching.

---

Podolski v Australia

- Fulminating drive from outside the left side of the box, curls in. Goalie gets a diving palm to it but only helps it through.

---

Cacau v Australia

- Pass played from wide along the ground to the top of box, first time shot in, unmarked after having left his defender for dead.  The perfect example of teamwork, ground passes, movement and finishing.

---

Maicon v North Korea

- Rasping, wickedly curling shot from inside the box on the right side, almost level with touchline, curling into net away from goalie.  Never seen anything like it.

---

Ji Yun Nam v Brazil

- Run into box with ball from long pass, dribble past defender and finish past goalie on far post. What courage, what a cultured finish.  It made us all dream for the following ten minutes.

---

Forlan v South Africa

- Perfectly struck shot from outside the left side of the box, curled into the top left corner.  He's been doing it all year.

---

Fernandes v France

- Beats offside trap, rounds keeper to slot home.  Yes !

---

Birsa v USA

- Curling, smooth, shot from outside the center left side of box, curled into the far corner.  Beautiful, poetry in motion.

---

Donovan v Slovakia

- A near post rocket after running with ball in from the right side from outside the box.  What freight trains look like.
