Brazilian Serie A Weeks 35 and 36


So, with just two weeks remaining the impetus rests firmly with Corinthians, having nicked a two point lead over nearest challengers Vasco.



Even at such a crucial juncture of the season, the pace remains relentless with two rounds played out over the past week. A week during which this humble reporter took a well earned vacation.

Only five games remain.


And it appears no one wants to win. In Week 33, both the leaders, three of the top four and five of the top eight all lost. In fact Corinthians only move back above Vasco into top spot, on goal difference, by virtue of a smaller losing margin.
