I enjoy writing and I love sport.
Having learnt my writing craft as a youngster, I have honed it with years of following my favourite sports all over the world; on television, over the radio and on the Internet. It’s not enough to understand and cultivate a passion for the game, one must add to it.
As a sports journalist, it is our duty, nay responsibility, to infuse our readers with the same passion, transmitting the same appreciation and joy that sporting events bring to us.
As media who cover games, we are charged with describing a fundamental aspect of modern human society to our followers who need to be informed, the fans who are infused with the same obsession as us and to the money-men who power the current global sporting context.
Sport brings me great joy. I would be selfish not to try and share that experience with others.
